Promoted in 1990 (after 3 years training) to an Advanced Sultzer Tech 3. Worked on Sultzer Ruti weaving machines for 27 years. I would troubleshoot and repair minor to major breakdowns. Preventative maintenance on said machines to ensure optimal production. It behooved me as a tech to make sure that all 66 machines ran at top performance as we were paid production. Filled in as Supervisor as needed. Received 18 months of education learning mechanics of machines. 18 months hands on experience. also became the O.J.T that determined if you had strong enough trouble shooting skills to become a level 3 or an overhauler.
