Project Summary:
Geneva is a comprehensive Portfolio Accounting system. It processes a full spectrum of Portfolio related transactions and calculates the results which these transactions have on a Portfolio. A portfolio can be though of being a collection of either cash, or securities, or both.
Geneva calculates the value for the positions and cash balances and post to CPORTW and GFC.
GFC performs the financial calculations (Interest, trade charges, sell, but all financial charges) and update the staging table for COB reports.
The GFC application is a Global Financial Calculator for Prime Brokerage (PB) typically for Hedge Funds. GFC is globally used for USPB i.e. US Clients and IPB i.e. International Clients. GFC is responsible for calculating charges/credits related to Interests, Stock-Loan Fee Rebates and Transaction Fees. All calculations in GFC are done for the current month and for the previous month in the overnight batch.

This Project explains about the exchange rates are retrieved from Treasure calc and WWCOA are loaded based on files based on RDF GUI. Currently exchange rates are then distributed from RDF to SAP systems using IDOCS. Currency exchange data WWCOA is distributed to non-SAP system via RDX using DPROPR. The RX front-end GUI will support basic data entry function including search Plus support for treasuring. IDOCs generation to down stream systems.
