Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer at Head Office my responsibility is to give strategic direction to the organization on people management issues. My mandate is, inter alia, to:

Develop and implement best practice human resources policies to ensure consistency

Support strategic objectives of the company by aligning human resource processes and practices

Resource the organization by hiring competent staff and negotiating contracts of employment

Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations to avoid unnecessary litigation

Manage staff wellness and performance reviews to ensure employee engagement and involved

Develop human resource plans to ensure the organization will have the needed numbers and skills mix in the future

Design and direct training and development programs to enhance performance and or close identified staff performance gaps

Manage employee benefits including being Principal Officer of the pension fund

Ensure timely holding of works council meetings and other internal communications so as to promote stable industrial relations etc
