An Engineering Manager, Sociologist and a Business Manager having over 30 years of work experience in different types of infrastructure project’s early study stage phases to detailed design, construction supervision/management, project management, contract management, O&M, HSE, Socio-environmental study from different parts of the world. I have good knowledge and extensive experience in early-stage design phases to project construction supervision, project management, surveillance study, dam safety assessment of different types of dams including socio-environmental study, stakeholder management. Besides dam projects I am good at storm drainage, landfill design, stormwater management
(SWM), Erosion and Sediment Control (ESC) management and to apply Best Management Plan (BMP), detailed design and construction supervision of water infrastructure projects
(hydropower, irrigation, water supply, transportation projects (Bridges and highways), buildings and transmission line and substation, surface and subsurface (tunnel) water conduit and so on) considering an optimal development and low impact development which sometime may need to address environmental site design (ESD). I specialized in rock mechanics in MSc and ground improvement techniques while pursuing PhD. I learnt French and German some 2 decades back but requires some refreshment courses to maintain the same level of proficiency. Recent days, I am working as EPC designer cum Construction Project Manager.

Lama Construction Company Ltd Kathmandu, Nepal (March 2023-Present, Extramural) Design review and bid document preparation for 22,500 ha irrigation command area using Mechanized Irrigation Innovation Project in Nepal. The project auxiliaries comprised of 500 Deep tubewell, 111 km long irrigation distribution pipes, about 100 km long electricity distribution line, ~ 100 km long project road, pump stations. Interpretation of borehole log to determine screen length, gravel pack requirement, and tubewell yield estimation. Design review and preparation of bid document for 106 MW Jagdula Hydropower Project
(PROR) which comprises 120 m long 45 h high concrete dam, 790 m operating head, Qd=16.3 m3/s, 1.4 km long penstock pipe and 6.1 km low pressure tunnel. Extensive review of tunnel geology, slope stability requirement and support requirement both for surface and subsurface structures.
Preliminary level design of 400/132 and 33 kV GIS substations including receiving and sending end arrangement for MCC Project funded by federal Government of USA Construction supervision and project management of Expressway, Bhaktapur-Banepa, Nepal;
Preliminary level design of dual expressway (Kathmandu-Nijgad), Section 8A including design of bridges, pavement, slope stabilization, quantity and cost estimation. • Construction supervision as RE/PMC of 172 MW Ishimba Rock Fill Dam and power station, Uganda, OE in Sindhila HPP (7.5MW), Uganda, Construction Engineer in Ulu Jelai (472MW) RCC Dam and TBM driven tunnel in Malaysia and occasional field visit in KL drinking water supply tunnel project.

• Detailed design of Thwake Multipurpose Rockfill Dam Kenya. Design lead to prepare detailed design including preparation of tender documents, specification, BOQ. Participated in tendering, awarding process.
• Performed Feasibility Study of Drinking Water Supply Projects (Wawa and Seramadre Dam), Philippines, which includes data acquisition/analysis, hydraulic analysis of water intake and tunnel system to the power station and design of water main upto the service reservoir.
• Feasibility level design of basin transfer project (75 MW Sibundong HPP Indonesia) which includes hydraulic design and tunnel support assessment, surface power station, headworks arrangement, surge shaft, adit tunnel, access road, 132 kV transmission line including substations, financial management, QA/QC, ESIA study, HSE and compliance monitoring. ESC and SWM were considered while designing the waterway system and turbine design.
• 120 MW Patabagan Hydroelectric Storage Project in the Philippines. Carried out surveillance study of Earth fill Embankment Dam (107 m high 1615 m long constructed in 1977), O&M approaches and its adequacy, inspection and monitoring ad performance assessment of the dam instrumentation. The dam was constructed in seventies.
• Project Manager of Resource Optimization Study including upgradation possibility using pump storage approach of Magat Hydropower Multipurpose Project in the Philippines (1977). ALAB software extensively applied.
• 1050 MW Ulu Jelai Pump Storage Project, Malaysia, Design head of 450 m and 102 m Rock Fill Dam. Operational model and generation capacity optimized.
• Prefeasibility Study of Bulanog Batang Hydropower Project (150 MW), the Philippines, 85 m high Prefeasibility level Earthfill Embankment Dam design, capacity optimization, power evacuation study, quantity and costing performed. Prepared ToR for geology and geotechnical assessment of the project.
• 19 MW Isabela HPP (PROR), the Philippines, 45 m high 120 m long concrete dam design, reservoir simulation, quantity and costing, planning and scheduling, risk-based assessment for lender.
