*Interviewing, Hiring and Training of New Employees
*Checking of all outgoing stocks to ensure that they are in good condition and to confirm that all documents are accurately signed for proper documentation
*The accurate receiving of inbound and outbound goods in a timely way.
*My ability to take inventory of goods and products in the warehouse by engaging in effective circle counting exercises using scan guns and computers.
*Resolving conflicts that may arise between workers on site, and exhibit good sense of judgment to ensure that parties involved are treated fairly.
*Work as the middleman between management and workers to facilitate good communication and airing of complaints from both parties, and see to it that all issues are sorted out effectively.
2. MAERSK LOGISTICS (DAMCO): OPERATION MANAGER, SAVANNAH, GA. (January 2015 –December 2018) Overseer, Savannah Shipping and Receiving Warehouse Distribution Center:
I was in charge of the Savannah Maersk Warehouse/Distribution Center. I manage a team of 50 to 70 warehouse workers and 5 Supervisors. My Job duties include:
*Ensure that daily orders are pulled timely, accurately, shipped and delivered to vendors or customers on a timely manner thereby improving customer satisfaction.
*Manage Drivers, dispatchers, maintaining a steady work flow environment and daily warehouse operations.
*Training of new employees for equipment certification and the use of company equipments for their various job duties with safety as our ultimate goal!
*Constantly inspecting all work equipment at the beginning and end of every shift to identify shortages and damages to enable smooth flow of operations.
*Ensures physical condition of warehouse is good and in safety compliance by indentifying and ordering needed repairs, renovations and replacements of needed operational materials and equipments.
*keeping a Monthly inventories update.
*Overseeing of warehouse Payroll and time management.
3. JIT WAREHOUSING, LLC: SUPERVISOR, GARDEN CITY, GA. (November 2010-October 2015) Manage and Supervise, Team of 45-50 Employees Responsible for managing daily operation of warehouse and special projects Responsible for daily inbound/outbound of goods and materials Implement New Hire and Ongoing Warehouse Training Initiate daily industry Safety Training tips.
I was in charge of scanning / Receiving of Goods coming and going out of the Distribution center. This Distribution center is "A Flow warehouse" which involves constant flow of inbound and outbound goods.
The team and I used Reach trucks, scanners and computers program in receiving incoming and outgoing goods in a timely manner to meet Shipping and receiving deadlines.
