As one of the SME on the program my roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to the designed and implemented Active Directory (AD) solutions, including domain controllers, forests, and replication. We currently manage the entire infrastructure for the IC community, that includes user and group management, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), and Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS). Since being on the team I have been the lead on multiple projects, such as the migration and upgrade of the new Active Directory service that effected more that 50k users with minimal downtime. As one of the subject matter experts on the team we conduct all the patching, STIG, and security safeguards for the domain controllers in the environment. I currently oversee the day-day operation of (AD) which includes assisting, TIER1-2-3 level admins with issues. While making sure the environment is stable and remains working we as a team, train IT staff on best practices for Active Directory management, enhancing team capability and knowledge. I have also been responsible for creating documentation, AD configurations and procedures, also creating comprehensive guidelines and knowledge base materials for ongoing reference and training.
