Essential functions of this position included providing dedicated management and engineering services necessary to manage or assist the customer in the continued operation with adds, moves and changes in order to meet changing requirements of the system end-users. Monitored and maintained the digital PBX to ensure sufficient switching system equipment and transport facilities was in service. Provided system software patches and fixes, not requested by the customer but deemed necessary by the OEM to ensure reliability and performance of the systems.
As the dedicated on-site manager, I conducted access feature changes including station restriction levels, station feature assignments, deletions, station moves, changes, activation and deactivation of trunk groups, diagnostic testing and generation of system traffic and maintenance reports. Inspected, tested and maintained system batteries and all other equipment components necessary to assure uninterrupted system availability on a routine
Basis. Responded to troubleshooting request for the switch through the telephone instruments to identify the source of the trouble. Provided 24/7 emergency coverage. Maintained customer furnished system drawings and maintenance and operator manual for the system. Replaced defective hardware, PBS and telephone sets as required.
