Please, allow me to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Kevin Sumrall. I have worked in many areas of construction over the past 25 years, including residential, commercial, and industrial. In 1993 I began specializing in residential remodeling, which included additions and complete renovations. As the projects grew larger, I obtained my Residential Contractors License. I then expanded doing light commercial renovations and acquired my Commercial Contractors License. I worked as a contractor, carpenter, supervisor, and consultant until 2005. After Hurricane Katrina I shifted from working independently to working for different companies.
My attached resume will show that I have acquired firsthand-skills necessary to construct homes and buildings with precision, on time scheduling and budgeting. I have learned the skills necessary to run several projects and work well with people. I have submitted bids to homeowners and companies, created budgets, estimated and scheduled major projects, hired and worked side by side with sub-contractors at every level, as well as maintain relationships with homeowners/clients. Budgeting and scheduling effectively are vital to creating a positive work environment. I feel very strongly that adhering to safety guidelines and communication with sub-contractors, homeowners, and clients on a regular basis is the key to a successful project.
