Electronic Technician Product Development

PROFESINAL OBJECTIVE: Looking for an Electronic Technician - any Shift.

SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS:

•Certified IPC A-610 and IPC J-STD-001 Specialist.

•Experience testing, troubleshooting PCB’s to the component level, and support production testers.

•Ability to apply deductive logic to troubleshoot failed circuits to sub-assembly and/or component level in analog or digital and mixed signal systems.

•Experience in manufacturing electronic products, experience in through-hole and surface mount, microprocessors, microcontrollers, DSPs, sensors, sensors interfaces, converters, power conversion equipment, and calibration checks on electronic instruments.

•Capable of isolating failures to the component level, and driving to true root cause.

•Reading electrical schematics and troubleshooting analog and digital hardware in a production floor.

•Experience in all phases of product development, testing, calibration and maintenance.

•Equipment knowledge: digital oscilloscopes, Spectrum analyzer, DMM, Frequency Counters, Power Supplies, other test equipment, etc.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

1. Electronic Technician, Emerson - Control Products, Inc., Chanhassen + Copeland Company, EP, MN

December, 2005 – April, 2022 + January 4th, 2024 - Present

•Perform calibration checks on electronic instruments.

•Support production automatic testers, test fixtures,, manual test fixtures and the operators.

•Troubleshoot an electronic system to determine root causes and remedies for malfunctions.

•Perform soldering/re-soldering/re-flowing of Printed Circuit Board components.

•Observe and examine equipment before and during testing to detect specific issues, such as loose/missing parts, solder bridges, shorts, etc.

•Observe and test PCB’s following repair and make any repair adjustments as necessary.

•Troubleshoot circuit boards to the component level.

•Experience with Lean Manufacturing and related principles

•Collaborate with team engineering members on technical requirements within and across repair.

•Train junior technicians.

2. Senior Electronic Test Technician III – weekend shift at Logic PD Inc., Eden Prairie, MN

February 2017 – December 2018

•Debug ICT/FT/Functional/RMAs/Flying Probe test failures.

•Experience using LabVIEW for Automating Tester Standard, RF testing techniques (900 MHz, 1900 MHz, Bluetooth, GPS, ANT., etc.)

•Worked with configuration management software (e.g. Omnify) and CAD tools.
