FINAL YEAR PROJECT

•Design and Fabrication of Flower Turbine (BSc Thesis)

The project, entitled "Design and Fabrication of Flower Turbine", involves the design of a vertical flower wind turbine, an innovative approach to the use of wind energy in an urban environment. This turbine features a unique flower-inspired structure that maximizes surface area for optimal wind capture while minimizing noise and visual impact. Using a combination of lightweight materials and advanced aerodynamic principles, the turbine operates efficiently across the entire range of wind speeds. Computational fluid dynamics simulations and experimental results demonstrate significant energy output and reduced turbulence compared to traditional horizontal axis wind turbines. The vertical flower wind turbine highlights the potential of as a sustainable solution for urban energy production, supporting green architecture and enhancing the aesthetic value of urban scenery. Future work will focus on further optimizing the design and exploring integration with smart grid technologies.
