Feb /2022-Present

Vidanta Exit program. Consistently produced well, usually 2-3 sales a day, 18-20 days in a row. I successfully stepped on the managers toes and that changed how all Exit clients were handled. There were 3 of us that got squeezed out. Volume was trending down and the four managers needed to eat, we were not important. As I result, I accepted the invite from the floor manager at The Villa Group in Dansante Bay. Now, I’m consulting with a Canadian company selling Permanent Decorative Lighting. This is very seasonal and we have already outproduced their ability to install between now and Christmas, for the second year in a row.

Brief Description: Although I have been in sales for over 35 years, most of my career has been spent managing Finance and Insurance in the automotive field and this is where I excelled. I was second to no one, ever. I became an expert in programmed sales techniques. I may not have created all the word tracks, but I was able to memorize and adhere to the attributed structure to become the best and pass this method on to others, freely. I have supported each and every one that asked me and helped an entire organization improve with millions of dollars in gross profit annually using my techniques.

Experience:

2020-present.

Tommyknocker Spices & Rubs. Owner. I created 11 commercially prepared spice profiles, including 6 Keto spices. My partners in Canada have taken over my role within the company, I have taken a backseat in all of it’s operation.

2015-2020

Western RV. Sr. Finance Manager. Maintained above industry average profit per unit delivery for 6 seasons. My goal was to have an average gross of more than $5,000/unit. I missed my mark only 2 months of my entire stay there. I was responsible for training all 10 dealers within the WRV group and raised their throughput from approximately $2850/unit to $5200/unit. My personal average my final year was over $6400/unit.

2014-2015

Okotoks Ford. Finance manager. I brought my sales menu method with me and averaged $3300/unit. Although I offered to help my coworkers, they were reluctant to change, never my problem. The work/management team was toxic, could not stay. When WRV became available, I went ahead with the opening since I had been made aware of their new construction facility and accepted the job.

2011-2014

East side of Kia. Calgary, Alberta. Canada

Finance Manager Mr. Kelly Temple, Owner, named me "First Among Equals". I wasn't anyone's boss, per se. However, if someone went off the rails in menu selling performance and/or methodology, I was expected to analyze, review, and support their sales methods and efforts. Plus, at the end of the month, the heavy lifting of getting difficult deals approved and delivered rested squarely on my shoulders.

2009-2010

Bailey Toyota. Sarnia, Ontario Canada

Finance manager. Set records in warranty sales and profitability. This work ended with the Toyota brake recalls. As the sole breadwinner for the family, I found a job in Calgary and we moved. I had found a home there and wouldn't have left if it wasn't for the recalls where Toyota placed a global edict not to sell anything.

2007-2009

Middletown Cycle. Middletown, Ohio, United States

Finance Manager Mr.

I was specifically recruited to fulfill his role as Finance Manager. I had 4 employees within my department, who were responsible for the execution of contracts, licenses, financing and credit bureaus. I was the face of the office with all the clients, of whom we saw up to 450 per month. Middletown Cycle became the first dealer of our warranty company to provide them with over $1 million in warranty revenue in less than 1 year. A great milestone in the industry. I witnessed history when the credit world came crashing down around us in late 2008. Middletown Cycle would never return to its level of greatness and dropped in volume from 450 units per month to 30 (thirty).

1991-1993

Ryan Dealer Services.

F&I specialist. RDS trained me at their Chicago facility in July 1991. By the end of my 2-week training, I had memorized over 45 minutes of programmed sales techniques and would use them daily upon my return. I had never stepped foot in a sales list car dealership before and had no idea what to expect. In my first 9 transactions, I sold 8 warranties, plus other products. There was no turning back. RDS placed me with 16 dealerships over the next 2 years, training others, helping recruit, and sometimes just running the finance office while the dealer's new recruit was training in Chicago. I often had to restructure their sales tracks upon their return, as some of their verbiage was not “Canadian” enough...

That was the beginning of everything. My last placement with RDS was at Woodbine Pontiac, in Etobicoke, Ontario, Canada. I then chose rolls at Parklane Cadillac, Sarnia (owned by the Baileys)... Bailey Toyota, Pilgrim Motorsports, Plymouth Michigan, USA, etc.
