Kiewit Energy Group / TIC – Executive Sponsor

Reporting to the District Manager and VP of Operations as Executive Sponsor, led project management teams and was directly responsible for all phases of EPC projects. Established specific responsibilities and support systems for each level of management teams to provide for optimum communication, problem solving, and stewardship of resources. Developed and maintained the overall project planning from start to finish. Remains well versed in engineering/design interface and reviews, estimating and proposal development, marketing and business development, managing contract terms and conditions, acting as a direct representative to the client and public and implementing project management systems. PROJECT EXPERIENCE

Executive Sponsor – Calcasieu Pass LNG, Venture Global LLC, Cameron, Louisiana. Kiewit is designated EPC contractor for grass roots development of a 1000 acre plus site with more than a mile of deep-water frontage. Project specifics; 18-0.626 MTPA liquefaction trains configured in 9 blocks, 3-pre-treatment trains, 2-ship loading berths, 2-2000 cubic meter full containment LNG storage tanks, 720 MW 5x2 combined cycle power plant, 24 mile 42” pipeline. Responsibilities included senior operations safety leadership interactions.

Executive Sponsor – California BioEnergy, Central Valley California. General contractor for renewable energy projects in California’s San Joaquin Valley and L.A. basin. Engaged in engineering, permitting, equipment selection, construction, and operation management. Production of renewable natural gas for use in vehicle fuels and electricity generation into local utility grids.

Executive Sponsor / Business Development – Southern District Pursuits, Kiewit Energy Group. Market research, customer relationships, engineering reviews, estimating and proposal monitoring and advancement, senior management presentations. Primary market focus: Oil Gas & Chemical, Renewable Energy, Metals and Materials processing,

Executive Sponsor - Western District Capital Projects, Various Locations. Multiple Western District Projects. Representative to clients throughout contract negotiations, estimating, design, and implementation.

Project Sponsor/Consultant - San Ardo Field Development, Aera Energy LLC, San Ardo, CA. Construction representative to client and engineer for development of master schedule incorporating funding and permitting, design, procurement, and construction activities. Responsibilities also included coordination of estimating, constructability reviews, engineering to implementation interface, environmental impact studies, and value engineering input.

Project Sponsor - Fairfield Water Plant Project, Berry Petroleum, Fellows, CA. Turnkey construction of a 40,000 bbl water filtration facility for water produced from oil production. Facility has the ability to be expanded to a 60,000 then 120,000 bbl facility in the near future. Major components of this process are Inlet produced water tanks, Unicell water processing equipment, filters and filtered water tanks, SAC softeners with brine regeneration tanks and equipment, WAC softeners with acid and caustic regeneration tanks and equipment, soft water tanks, and pumps.

Project Manager - Inergy Butamer ISBL Project, Inergy Services, Tupman, CA. General contractor for the construction of a 7,300 bpsd UOP-licensed Butamer Unit within the existing process plant. In this butamer catalytic butane isomerization process, licensed from UOP, a mixed butane stream is processed in mole-sieve driers to remove water and sulfur compounds.

Project Manager - Dehy 20 Project, Aera Energy, LLC, Belridge, CA. General contractor for the field construction of a Water Filtration facility at Belridge Field within the boundaries of existing Dehy 20 Water Plant. The new facility was designed to process and filter up to 350,000 bpd to meet water quality requirements to ultimately inject into reservoirs and/or disposal wells.

Project Manager, Gas Plant Expansion, Sulfurox and Propane, Aera Energy LLC, CA. General contractor for doubling the existing gas plant capacity from 50 MM scfd to 85 MM scfd. Expansion also included doubling propane storage capacity and the addition of a new sulfurox facility. Facility included the installation of a new unit with the following systems: gas water wash/heating-cooling system, gas spargers, contactors (3-50% gas treating capacity), regeneration, sulfur filtration, chemical addition, heat medium, flare system, air, water and team utilities. In addition to the above scope of work, also responsible for annual shutdown activities for existing gas plant.

Project Engineer - New Consolidated Dehydration Facility, Aera Energy LLC, CA. General contractor for mechanical/civil/structural construction at two facilities. Project included installation of the following: one new 1400 bbl. FWKO, new water header from FWKOs to ISFs, one new ISF, two new steam heat exchangers, secondary FWKO or heater treaters, one new produced water surge vessel, two new water shipping pumps, routing of a backup line for Dehy TVR and Dome gas to compression, two new oil LACT charge pumps, and installation of 3.5 miles of new pipeline for crude oil service to Shell Pipeline.

Project Engineer - New Construction and Maintenance Alliance, Aera Energy LLC, CA. General contractor on several large oil producing properties. Responsible for the maintenance of the Ventura, Belridge, Lost Hills, Brea, and Huntington Beach leases, as well as offshore oil platforms. Primary construction contractor at most of these same locations. Providing on average over 200 employees per day to these locations. Responsibilities included planning and scheduling of the construction and maintenance activities and managing subcontractors.

Project Engineer - Gas Plant 32 Debottlenecking, Aera Energy LLC, CA. The South Belridge Gas Plant Expansion was a retrofit, multi-disciplined project that involved civil, concrete, structural, instrumentation, controls, power, mechanical, and piping construction. The engineering, procurement, prefabrication, and installation were divided into three definitive phases; SulFerox, gas plant and terminal facility.

Project Coordinator / Field Engineer - WP 27 Filter Plant - Aera Energy LLC, CA. General contractor for the construction of a filter plant consisting of modification of site grades, installation of piping, piping tie-ins and associated supports, pumps, filter vessels, air compressor and dryer skids, concrete foundations. Track and maintain costs and budgets for 27 subcontractors.

Project Coordinator/Field Engineer - Butamer Expansion Project, Lone Star Gas Inc., Shafter, CA. General contractor for a 13,000 bpsd modular butamer expansion utilizing a U.O.P. Safecat processing system, a modular deisobutanizer stabilizer, a modular heating fluid system, modular hydrogen unit, and miscellaneous site utilities.

Project Coordinator - Midway Sunset Backbone Project, Texaco North America Production, CA. General contractor for the construction of laterals including 31,650 ft. of miscellaneous diameter carbon steel piping, pipe supports, well tie-ins. Performed concrete, electrical, and all piping work for Generator Site. Each site consists of 18 50,000 btu generators.

Project Coordinator - Construction Alliance, Central CA. General contractor for a grass roots oil field development. Build out of four plants (dehydration, steam, water, and CVR), running 76,000 ft. of off-site piping for three systems (production, steam, CVR). Setting all associated equipment, installing all concrete and underground piping.

Field Engineer - Ventura Alliance, Aera Energy LLC, Ventura, CA. General contractor for the maintenance and construction activities at Aera’s Ventura facilities. The scope of work included the installation and maintenance of over 300,000 lin. ft. of pipe systems, the installation of 11 production headers, retrofitting of free water knockout systems, ASME code work on numerous vessels, pump installations, and associated civil work.

Field Coordinator - Fort Knox Gold Project, Cyprus Amax, Fairbanks, AK. General contractor for the erection of a grass roots gold mine producing 300,000-350,000 oz. of gold annually in Fish Creek drainage of the Fairbanks Mining District. The scope included installation of the following: grinding, thickener, MCC, crusher, refiner, leach, CIP, detox, pipe bridges, reclaim and crusher, conveyors, truck scale, structural, concrete, mechanical, and piping.

Project Engineer, J&M Land Restoration, Inc., Bakersfield, CA. Representative to a variety of commercial, governmental, and private industries. Performed project estimates and cost projections for the coordination and implementation of environmental restoration measures in a variety of markets.

Consulting Engineer, Tengizchevroil (a Chevron Company), Tengiz, Kazakhstan. Involved in international relations and negotiations for the inspection of production facilities, associated pipelines and the subsequent design of cathodic protection systems.

Engineering Technician, Arco Oil and Gas Company, West Coast. Facilitated construction, testing, data acquisition and report writing for pipeline system and production facility corrosion protection in compliance with governmental regulations. On and Off Shore.
