Assisted Living Coordinator- Monitoring and assisting residents with daily medical concerns, implement orders from their doctors for labs to be drawn at our facility. Among my several responsibilities include entering medication in the MAR for their medication pass and ordering from the pharmacy, monitoring and instructing medication techs on the medication and enforcing parameters in which the med pass is to be done, such as no pre pouring, correct documentation and follow up and management of their time on the med pass. Give instruction to the certified nurse's aides on general cares and a status changes and the appropriate way to handle citations. Set up schedules for laundry, bathing and make adjustments where it is needed for residents and staff. Review of residents care plans are set on a schedule and visiting with the staff who have primary care roles with them are considered when making the care plan match the need. I was also available for medical emergencies and safety issues. Charting is to be done on ALMSA program and I could also monitor the med pass activity with the electronic system, it date/time stamps each members of the team signature for charting and med pass. With ALMSA there were tracking reports that are to be monitored for nutritional risks and dietary demands. A review of monthly weights and general monitoring for swallowing issues, lack of appetite and behavioral issues are addressed in a timely manner.
