DUTIES AS SECURITY OFFICER

● To provide a safe and secure place for shoppers and employees by notifying of any hazards including: (1) electrical wires, (2) slippery walkways, (3) debris on walkways, (4) trash spills, (5) improperly parked delivery vehicles, and (6) blocked stairways.

● In normal interactions: (1) locate lost persons, (2) assist hanicapped persons, (3) assist in starting vehicles, (4) assist customers and/or employees with an empty fuel tank, and (5) locate vehicles.

● When patrolling, follow persons acting in a strange way or when a shop employee notifies me of a suspicious person, proceed to:

(1)secure an accurate description of and detain the suspect if necessary, (2) call the police and inform the dispatcher.

● During a medical emergency, notify police or fire rescue. Upon calling, disclose: (1)victim’s information, (2) nature of injury, (3) exact location, and (4) guide authorities to scene. DUTIES AS LOSS PREVENTION

● Developing and implementing procedures to minimize loss of merchandise, money, or other company assets.

● Planning out maintenance work, room bookings, events, and emergency procedures to keep customers and employees safe.

● Working with authorities to resolve any thefts and/or emergencies.

● Training and updating staff on any current procedures in place, including daily tasks and emergency situations.

● Processing and/or managing: budgets, ongoing reports, quarterly OSHA/Safety audits, and statistical and financial records.

● Patrolling for safety hazards as well as monitoring security footage.

● Ensuring OSHA and Health & Safety Legislation compliance to prevent any accident or lawsuit.
