Veterinary Assistant Extern Faust Animal Hospital April 2021 – July 2021
Assisted doctor and staff with various tasks throughout 180 hours of externship. Administered medications and injections, tended animals, drew blood, prepped accordingly for dentals, filled prescriptions and medications, took vitals, and assisted with post-op procedures. Maintained a sterilized and clean environment, completed inventory, did laundry, and observed during surgeries.
Animal Sitter Rover December 2019 – February 2020; August 2021 - present
Cared for pets while owners were on trips or vacations
Provided dogs with walks and interactions to assist them with daily exercise regimens
Administered medications to animals when needed on a timely basis
Basic duties including food and water to achieve optimal balanced diet
Reported back to owners of their animals’ activities and well-being
Provided care to other animal breeds such as guinea pigs and reptiles whilst the owners were away
Kept up with regular household duties to ensure all areas of the residence, both inside and outside, were cleaned before owners returned back home safe and sound to the company of their pets
