Experience

SHOP SERVICE TECHNICIAN III RINGPOWER JULY 2022 – JAN 2024.

Diagnose and perform designated repairs on customer or company owned equipment including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs.

Able to read and properly interpret blueprints and drawings to determine joint design, proper base and filler material and required company welding procedure.

Inspects components to ensure maximum parts are being reused to control repair costs.

Completes required documentation utilizing appropriate software to document repairs performed on equipment, and accounting for repair times.

Conducts all assigned work in a safe manner, adhering to all applicable safety, environmental and contamination control policies, procedures, and regulations. WELDER / FITTER JOURNEYMAN IV PCE FEB 2009 – JUNE 2022.

Able to lay out and prepare base metals using air and power tools.

Able to read and properly interpret blueprints and drawings to determine joint design, proper base and filler material and required company welding procedure.

Extensive knowledge of gas line safety and fire prevention.

Able to run hot work notifications, hot work chits, gas free certificates and set up work site without supervision.

Able to fabricate and template new assemblies utilizing SMAW, FCAW, GTAW, GMAW or BRAZE.

Extensive knowledge of TIG welding processes including stainless steel and copper nickel alloys.

Extensive knowledge and understanding of company welding procedures and their proper application.

Able to pass SWRMC weld certifications for company certifications.

Able to accurately interpret and preform work in accordance with designated Process Control Procedure(s) (PCP) and/or Enhanced Process Control Procedure(s) (EPCP).

Knowledgeable in Navy WAF and Tag Out systems; able to develop, submit, and / or close out WAFS, to include verification and concurrence of all tag out requirements necessary to safely perform work.

Ability to train personnel with regards to performing basic functions of welding tool checkout, repair and verification of equipment reliability.

Able to effectively read and comprehend work specifications, technical manuals, references, NAVSEA Standard Items, blueprints, and drawings.

Currently provide supervision, leadership, and guidance to junior personnel at repair facility as well as on site.
