Verizon Professional Services 2011 - 2018

Senior Manager - Cisco Unified Communications

Successfully managed team of Cisco Collaboration Engineers and Project Managers to deliver Cisco Unified Communications systems and products.

Annual Project Revenue: $3-5 Million (25-30 Projects).

Utilization consistently 85%+ with Team Size varying between 12 and 20 professionals.

Projects largely involved design and development of Cisco UC premise-based systems for conversion from TDM Systems (Nortel, Avaya, etc.) for medium to large corporations and government agencies. All equipment including servers, routers, and network switches were staged and tested at Verizon facility prior to shipment and installation at customer site.

Notable Projects

Migrated 150+ Customer sites for HHS agencies to Verizon’s Unified Cisco Communications As-A-Services (UCCaaS) platform. Over 20,000 users migrated site-by-site in less than 12 months. Project included parallel UCCaaS environment for each site, re-routing all services, and performing rigorous user and 911 testing. Provided remote engineering and onsite techs as part of a turnkey solution.

Designed and implemented premised-based UC solution for Fortune 100 Healthcare company. Transformed/Migrated 200+ customer locations from TDM to UC solution over the course of 36 months. Services included turnkey solution encompassing site surveys, network design and implementation, physical installation of all equipment, end user training, and remote engineering and onsite support on Day 1. Provided handoff to Verizon managed services team for Day 2 support.

Performed major upgrade of CUCM, CUC, CER, and UCCE applications for Fortune 50 Healthcare Provider. Upgrade consisted of 25,000 user devices at 300 US sites including 24x7 hospital and critical care facilities.

Verizon Network Integration 2005 - 2011

Successfully managed team of high level Unified Engineers and Project Managers for the implementation of Data, Voice, and Unified Networks and Solutions.

Transformed 150+ customer sites for State Government Health and Human Services (HHS) Agencies. A total turnkey solution that involved implementing all new WAN and LAN components; CUCM, CUC, CER, etc.; Defining and installing auto attendant scripts at every location; designing each end user device; Integration with existing PBX paging devices; End user training for up to 20,000 users; Go-Live support provided by remote and onsite professionals; and transition of all components to Verizon’s managed service team for Day 2 support.

Design and installed private WAN at large coffee chain for the point-of-sale (POS) device rollout. The project encompassed over 1500 stores in the Northeast and was implemented over a 3 year period.

Member of transition team involved with the integration of systems as a result of the creation of Verizon Business (merger between Verizon and MCI).
