Currently now working in an urgent care as Nurse Practitioner for 4 years. Created a new Hospice program from ground up. Directed facility’s new employees including: recruitment, enrollment, instruction, and training. Worked in organizing and setting up health fairs booths for hospice promotions. I educated medical staff and volunteers regarding hospice policies. Worked with potential clients in order to expand our hospice program.
Spent ten years in the mental health area of nursing. I worked with a multidisciplinary team in an open mental health unit to establish patient care. I also taught and educated mental health patients about anger management, grief, and loss. Documented all elements of nursing assessment, treatments, medications, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
