Repairing broken post-tension tendons
o Read drawings, find break, rope or tape off area o Chip access holes for repair devices such as splice chucks or dog-bones o Thread in new strand, attach accessories, repair plastic sheathing o Re-stress tendons, record and submit elongations, gauge pressures, cut tails if approved o Patch back concrete access holes or stress pockets, clean-up o Customer contact and paperwork
Install barrier cables
o Off-load and stage all cables, plan out work
o String or thread thru columns, set 3-pc wedges at dead-end side, back-seat wedge sets o Check for correct gauge pressure for cable length, stress / back-seat cables one-at-a-time o Record pressures, receive approval from appropriate person, cut tails o Spray and prep all cut or damaged ends/surfaces, clean-up o Customer contact and paperwork
