I am a Librarian with a Bachelor of Library and Information Studies, and currently pursuing a Master of Science in Digital Information and Media Management. I have over 17 years of cumulative experience as a Librarian in tertiary institutions and a research institute. I have gained immense experience in uploading published articles, preserving intellectual outputs, leading a team during digitization of the library systems, project management, cataloging, website development, and generally ensuring books and information were easily accessible.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
ACTING SENIOR LIBRARIAN – UNIVERSITY OF BOTSWANA (JANUARY 2023 – TO DECEMBER 2023)
Duties include:
• Leading the Library and had a role of decision making for the department.
• Uploading peer reviewed and/published articles by academic staff to the University of Botswana Research, Innovation and Scholarship Archive (UBRISA), which is of strategic importance in capturing, preserving the intellectual outputs (i.e. data and publications) of the University of Botswana.
LIBRARIAN – OKAVANGO RESEARCH INSTITUTE (ORI) (OCTOBER 2007 – JANUARY 2023)
Duties included:
• Uploading peer reviewed and/published articles by our Academia to the University of Botswana Research, Innovation and Scholarship Archive (UBRISA - https://ubrisa.ub.bw/)
• Leading the technical team in ORI’s library digitization project, involving tasks such as digitization of maps, organizing and processing various slides from our legacy collection, scanning books and linking them to the catalogue for easy accessibility
• Daily library activities such as cataloguing, shelf maintenance and assisting library users. When the library launched its website page of digitized maps of the Okavango Delta, in May 2009 I worked on developing the webpage and developing the content by adding metadata.
