Package Walker
As a package walker, I walked piping line by line to ensure the piping was complete ready for pneumatic testing according to the latest version of drawings.
Night Shift lead rod room attendant /materials coordinator
As lead over 7 rod room attendants, I prepared the new rod room attendants to be familiar with weld procedures, to recognize and distinguish between the different types of welding rods, welding wires and welding consumables before they were released to work alone in their permanent rod rooms. I worked a swing shift to ensure that the rod rooms (7) were fully always stocked. I Inventoried and stocked consumables, painted wire tips for traceability and worked with all rod room attendants on both shifts to ensure they had everything needed to promote production for 600+ welders on nightshift and dayshift. I reported to and took direction from the night shift QC manager for Zachry and worked very closely with JVIC nightshift manager. I reported all material needs to dayshift management. In addition the following was also part of my day-to-day responsibilities:
Verified rod slips and welding procedures
Received, inventoried, stored and distributed welding rods and filler metals from the warehouse nightly
Inventoried and distributed consumables
Data entry of rod slips
Trained with QC to inspect welds
Trained with QC to oversee pneumatic testing
Trained with QC to BIC pipe spools
Trained with QC on bolting up flanges
Received Cold shoe training
Reported bi-weekly rod count to dayshift management
Reported daily JVIC orbital spool count to supervision
Provide all Zachry and JVIC inspectors with torque seal and flagging tape and assisted with bolt up inspection and torquing.
Received and inventoried calibrated tools needed for quality control.
