Work Experience

Group Leader

Bradken-Atchison, KS

June 2017 to December 2023

As 2nd shift after cast group leader I started the day out 30 minutes prior to the start of the shift with a daily meeting with the 1st shift supervisors to go over daily work schedules and address any issues from the night before. I then lead the shift in the safety huddle and came up with a safety talk following stretches. I then delegated and assigned daily work loads and that day's production requirements for roughly 20 to 30 employees. After the shift huddle it was my job to spend the night walking the floor ensuring all safety regulations and company rules and policies were adhered to and production requirements were being met. Also spent a large amount of time training new employees on Carbon Arc Gauging with double stack machines running 3/4 inch rods, stick and mig welding with dual shield flux core wire, Synfuel torches and grinding operations. Did certifications for new employees on necessary company equipment for 2nd shift such as running the 30 ton overhead gantry cranes and also ensuring proper daily inspections were done and logged daily for each crane. Certified quality control inspector for the welders and quality control final inspection for final buyout. Responsible for basic trouble shooting on machinery and maintenance on grinders, welders and carbon arc air machines. Certified and familiar with OSHA rules and regulations, lock-out tag-out, confined space training, certified rigger, certified overhead crane, certified bobcat, many weld certifications including weld certifications for welding on military applications for the United States and Canadian military, hexavalent chromium training and experience on welding on stainless steal.
