Rockville MD, Jan 2011 thru May 2022, Project Engineer 1. CCI is an authorized integrator for Distech, Siemens/Talon and ABB/Cylon. 2. Developed system architecture from the project specifications based on the BACnet and Modbus platforms, mostly hybrid topologies integrating TCP/IP and EIA-485. 3. Translated the project specifications into the points list then architected the system hardware platform and authored sequences of operation. Prepared panel fabrication and field wiring diagrams, wrote the local and global control strategies using graphical programming tools. 4. Integrated 3rd party devices, chillers, drives, rainwater harvest, etc, using BACnet and Modbus. 5. Interfaced with the Owner’s IT department to integrate the DDC system into the Owner’s IP network to enable secure remote access and off-site alarm notification. 6. Resuscitated a barely functional post wide Utility Monitoring & Control System (UMCS) while leading a team of new hires with little to no experience operating and maintaining a campus scale HVAC DDC control system. The UMCS group was awarded Secretary of the Army’s small group award for Energy Efficiency/Energy Management FY2005. 2. Supervised (9) directs; (5) System Operators, (3) technicians, and (1) Generator mechanic, reorganized reporting structure to reduce directs to (3). 3. Implemented and managed the ongoing training of staff including authoring and distributing

“Control Basics”, a primer on HVAC control theory and application. Spent field time with both operators and technicians conducting one-on-one field training. 4. Updated the “Standard Operating Procedures” manual, conducted site surveys, typically leading an Operator to assist them in understanding the relationship between the GUI and the field equipment.

5. Prepared “After Action Reports” (AARs) as requested by the post’s KO (Contracting Officer). 6. Developed, documented, and implemented a modular architecture of standard sequences of operation for the HVAC systems connected to the UMCS. 7. Authored job descriptions for all site personnel and then aligned the corporate performance reviews with the job descriptions.
