1996 – 2000 WebTV Networks Inc. a Microsoft Subsidiary

Designed and developed data center for WebTV service, supporting over 1.5 Million customers.

Designed and implemented authentication via RADIUS and 800 number "scriptless" pool

for the authentication and local access of WebTV boxes.

Implemented first successful Load Balancing of RADIUS (UDP protocol) with

Alteon Websystems equipment for high volume authentication.

Provided specifications, design criteria and feedback for building new Microsoft campus

(SVC) data center. Implemented monitoring of dialup networks via “Cricket” program based on

MRTG. Assisted with debugging and network security of Cisco Routers, Implement configuration

changes to minimize or prevent DDOS, DNS, and SMURF attacks. Implemented high-speed wireless and infra-red backup links for redundancy and disaster recovery. Maintain network configuration data with Perforce.

Created proposal that allowed TPA to win contract for supporting Apple Computer’s

LAN infrastructure, saving both Apple and TPA thousands of dollars.

Recruited, hired and managed 6 network specialists to support Apple's internal Lan/Wan

infrastructure. Assisted with implementation of HP Openview for Novell’s NOC.

1995 - 1996 Independent Network Consultant (JNCS)

Implemented international digital token based dial in/dial out V.34bis modem pool,

utilizing RADIUS authentication and smart cards for Hewlett Packard Inc.

Installed/debugged several ISDN solutions for various companies, Gupta, CCC, Xilinx etc, saving

thousands of dollars in telco costs. .

1987 - 1995 Sun Microsystems Inc.

Provided requirements and designs for new campus data centers (Menlo Park).

Worked with vendor EPE/MGE to develop SNMP monitoring of UPS/generator

Equipment.(The first UPS system to have SNMP capabilities)

Designed and implemented award winning High speed (FDDI) network design for

new Menlo Park Campus Phase I utilizing SMC and Bay Networks equip.

Implemented DS3 link between Mt. View and New Menlo Park Campus on Cisco Routers.

(Later upgraded this link to ATM-155/ OC3)

Implemented high speed wireless links (multiple T1’s) for redundancy and failover.
