HEWLETT PACKARD TECHNOLOGY TRANSFORMING OF AD HOC MS EXCEL REPORTS TO LATEST VIS

Project Description: This project was a part of Technology transformation program undertaken by Hewlett Packard. The scope of this project was to identify all the critical ad hoc reports and migrate them to latest cutting edge technology tools SSIS, Power BI, Tableau. Team was reskilled on Agile development methodology and 4 weeks sprints were planned for phase wise migration. Roles and Responsibilities:

· Identified around 112 ad hoc reports that were generated by MIS team using MS Excel, MS Access.

· Reviewed the reports with stakeholders and categorized them into Critical, Good to have, to be Decommissioned. Around 30 reports were decommissioned and 60+ reports were identified to be transformed.

· Analyse multiple existing systems using SQL queries, MS Access, Advance Excel and create User stories, Acceptance criteria in JIRA for agile development.

· Calculated the potential cost savings achieved for Business undertaking each report so that business can prioritize them in sprint planning.

· Design the Sample/Mock Reports using Visualization reporting tools Power BI and Tableau.

· Design new process using ETL tool SSIS to pull the data, provide field mapping for field transformation and publish Power BI, Tableau reports.

· Provide acceptance criteria and perform UAT.

· Ensure timely distribution of all reports accurately.

Project Description: The scope of this project was to develop a scorecard for senior management for performance tracking. Scorecard included the KPIs for field engineers in terms of End-to-End TAT%, Response Miss %, Single Visit Miss, Part Replacement, MC-CTR%, Survey related (NPS, Detractors, Promoters) etc. The source data was available at different systems and required to be captured at specific interval for accurately reporting. Roles and Responsibilities:

· Understand different Metrics of significance for senior management and categorize them into KPI for various business functions.

· Analyse multiple existing systems using SQL queries, MS Access, Advance Excel and map them to the KPI metrics and formulas

· Design the Sample/Mock score card using Visualization reporting tools like MS Excel, Macroslater migrated to Power BI.

· Design new process using ETL tool SSIS to pull the data and publish scorecard on weekly and monthly basis over Sharepoint.

Project Description: The scope of this project was to review HP Care pack Billing data from different countries of Asia Pacific that was being feed into HP GCSS application in different formats and design a data warehouse cube to bring the billing data feed into a common format. Roles and Responsibilities:

· Research and gather requirements by analysing current data feeds from different countries, conducting group calls, reviewing documents.

· Write BRD and documents business process deficiencies requiring resolution and identifying must have data field to the HP GCSS application and map it back to each country data feeds using Hyperion Queries.

· Create flow charts and process models by mapping data source to target Data WH cubes.

· Develop test data and scenarios, Acceptance criteria, and documents the results.

· Impose data quality checks to minimize the errors

Project Description: The scope of this project was to identify Common business function Applications and Reporting. Comparing them to find most efficient of the two and migrate to the one that was selected. Roles and Responsibilities:
