EXPERIENCE
1. GRADUATE RESEARCH/TEACHING ASSISTANT
January 2021- May 2023
Prof. Robert C Dunn
Department of Chemistry University of Kansas
Designed, executed and troubleshooted high accuracy, high throughput External Electric field applied Planer Capillary Electrophoresis (EEPCE) instrumentation platform and performed original research focused on advanced separations with Electro Osmotic Flow (EOF) control.
Developed metal coated capillaries by thermal evaporation and sputtering techniques for the utilization in EEPCE.
Investigated the structural and electrical properties of the developed capillaries using AFM and other profiling techniques.
Employed programming and computational data analysis/ data visualization techniques to characterize and quantify the behavior of the flow dynamics in the modified EEPCE instrumentation. 2. INDUSTRIAL CONSULTANT
August 2019 - January 2021
INNOMATEL Pvt. Ltd
Invented a 90-day active surface disinfectant brand “nanDOC” and managed the production being responsible for the regular product development, testing, standardization, and product promotion.
Led several R&D projects in collaboration with various industries to design and develop methods to convert industrial waste into value added commercial products.
Developed several industrial methods to commercially manufacture pigments, natural dyes, and insect repellents.
Administrated and consulted manufacturing an environment friendly, bio-degradable, low-cost antimicrobial face mask brand “RESPIRONE NANO AV 99”.
3. GRADUATE RESEARCH/TEACHING ASSISTANT
March 2015 - August 2019
Prof. R.M. Gamini Rajapaksha
University of Peradeniya
Developed advanced property added smart fabrics using nanotechnology, in collaboration with TeeJay Lanka Pvt. Ltd.
Developed several photo-catalytic water-splitting nanomaterials for highly efficient hydrogen production.
Developed highly efficient Dye-sensitized Solar Cells (DSCs) with numerous nanomaterials.
Anti-cancer drug delivery nanomaterials were developed with porous ZnO nanostructures for targeted delivery of cis- platin.
Involved in postgraduate level teaching and research supervision. EDUCATION
