Objective: To find a position in which I can contribute to a company’s success. I bring to the position over 50 years of supervisory experience. I consider my strongest attribute is the ability to get subcontractors and employees moving in the correct direction to complete the project in a timely and cost-effective manner. I am comfortable in addressing the code and permit requirements enabling the project to move effectively to completion.

I recently completed three custom homes in and around Oxford Mississippi with a construction budget of $1,740,000.00 for the Wesscorp owner’s children and longtime employee.

Wesscorp Inc. (Formerly MPS Services) 2018-2020 I was called in to expedite completion of a $30,000,000.00 288-unit apartment complex in Foley Alabama. As the owner’s representative I was responsible for all facets of construction to complete this project in a timely and cost-effective manner. I oversaw hiring subcontractors and replacing those as necessary to accomplish the needed time schedule. All on site construction and management personnel reported to me and I made financial decisions required to meet owner expectations.

Lowes New Albany Mississippi . 2015-2018

I was a part time employee and have worked in inside and outside power equipment, flooring, and home décor departments. I primarily worked in the assembly department. This was a convenient position during the three years I was in treatment for prostate cancer.

MPS Services 1992-2015

I was the project manager for a company that renovated and built apartment complexes. The Bartlett Tennessee based company built and renovated apartment complexes in the southeast United States from Texas to Missouri to Florida. My final project was to construct a 256-apartment unit in Abilene, Texas. I completed the project in one year with a $13,600,000.00 budget where I was responsible for all phases of construction including materials acquisition, subcontractor selection, code enforcement interface, supervision of internal and subcontractor employees, payroll, and reports. My supervision consisted of monthly visits and daily phone calls and reports. The total daily workforce I supervised was between 100 and 150 personnel.

Sunshine Corporation 1985-1990

I was the president and chief operating officer for a company that owned and managed 1800 apartment units scattered across 17 complexes in Memphis, Tennessee. I was responsible for all phases of operation for my owner who worked elsewhere.

Strong Manufacturing ` 1980-1984

I worked as controller for The Strong Companies in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. These companies manufactured spray equipment and developed the commercial process for manufacture of potting soils. I was responsible for converting the companies to computerized systems for accounting and automated cad and process systems for product manufacture. In addition, I was involved in the project to produce the first new commercial potting soil now universally available.

US Army. 1968-1979

I am an Airborne, Ranger qualified infantry officer who served as a platoon leader and company commander in Vietnam, Germany, and the United States. I had the privilege to command Airborne, Mechanized Infantry, and Conventional companies in both combat and peacetime. Additionally, I was the project officer responsible for procurement of new scuba and HALO (military Free Fall) equipment for Army Special Forces units.
