Job Duties:

Answer/address water quality related customer complaints. Collect/retrieve water samples at various locations throughout the Greater Houston Area that meet TCEQ standards, routine chlorine residual checks out in the distribution system. Test cut and flush water lines. Enter daily reports in the computer. Help the City of Houston supply citizens with “Superior Water”. During the City’s drought in 2011 assisted the Utility Maintenance Branch (UMB) by test cutting, opening and closing water lines as needed for emergency water line repairs. During transitional job duty from June 2012 to present, daily duties include generating, opening and closing work orders also referred to as preparation of “Creating and Costing Reports” for UMB’s Valve Group located at Renwick.
