To the Hiring Committee for the Position of Chaplain with West Park Healthcare,

I am very interested in the position of Chaplain with the Multiple Sclerosis Department of West Park Healthcare. I have been a Chaplain for Emergency Services over the last 12 years and have taken specialized training/ courses in the areas of Critical Incident Stress Management, trauma and abuse counselling, resiliency, as well as developing mental, emotional, spiritual and physical health. I have a brother who has cerebral palsy, so I have a concern/ love for those who live with various life challenges.

I am an Ordained Minister with the Canadian Baptists of Western Canada and have been in Pastoral Ministry for the last 26 years in a variety of settings. I have been a Children’s, Youth and Young Adult Pastor as well as Pastor of adult and senior ages. I have taken groups of people on mission trips throughout North America and the Middle East. My wife is a fly- in, fly- our RN for the Government of Nunavut, so relocation is possible in our situation. I recently deployed for a week to Dauphin, MB as part of a team to help the community grieve through the traumatic loss of seniors following a bus trip. I am certified with the Canadian Police Chaplain Association, Federation of Fire Chaplains and the Rapid Response Team.

My life purpose is to help people to grow in their potential emotionally, mentally, spiritually, physically and socially. I would be honored to be a part of your team.
