EMPLOYMENT HISTORY: 11/2013 to 02/23 - Long-term Substitute Teaching for the Desert Sands Unified School District headquartered in La Quinta, California. Teaching, lecturing, organizing, leadership experience, and abilities perfected. 12/2001 to Present: Architectural Plans, Engineering, and Buildings Services personal business called “Accurate and Fast Architectural Plans, Engineering, and Building Services.” California Licensed General B Contractor (presently inactive) in home building, remodeling, and tenant renovation/improvement.

06/2013 to Present: Consortium Communications, Marketer, Trainer, and Manufacturing & Product Developer for a non-profit organization called “Process Cleaning 4 Healthy Schools and Industrial Facilities.” Presently working at Trade Show events only if I am available. July 21, 2022, to Present: Home Depot in Rancho Mirage as an Electrical Customer Service Sales Representative part-time to customers of building materials, equipment, and tools. 04/2016 to 06/2017: Substitute Teacher for a Project Management class for Professor Rob Stone, at the University of California Irvine. 2008 to 2014: Tutor with A Plus Educational Centers of students from kindergarten through twelve grades. The main subjects taught were Math and English. I tutored in the Palm Springs, Banning, Morongo, Desert Sands, Coachella, and Palo Verde Unified School Districts for six years.

01/2008 to 2015: In-home support service provider for my mother who suffered kidney failure in 2008. With the assistance of my significant other, my mother made a remarkable recovery while I was also able to work substitute teaching, tutoring assignments, and building construction jobs. At 93, my mother died in May 2015. 09/2007 to 02/2008: Construction Technology Teacher at Desert Mirage High School in Oasis California through the Riverside County Office of Education ROP Program. Taught introduction to home building planning, design, permit procurement, building stages, trades, sub-contractors, equipment, materials, and tools of the construction trades and how to use them.

2003 to 2008: Substitute taught for the Coachella Valley Unified School District between building construction projects.

2002 to 2003: Counselor for the EOAP (Early Opportunity Academic Program) through the University of California, Riverside to give college preparatory counseling for middle and high school students in Cathedral City.

1967 to Present: I have worked approximately 320 building construction jobs and projects in the various aspects of business, manufacturing, carpentry, all phases of construction, contracting, project management, and detailing/drafting. Being in the hospitality business of buying-operating-selling three motor hotels, opening 2 restaurants, buying-operating-selling a Chevron Travel Convenience Store, retail sales, and income property management over the past fifty-plus years.

I have worked, managed, and supervised many home building, commercial, tenant improvement, renovation, and remodeling jobs. This included customer relations and service, sales, organizing, contract, technical writing, planning, land development, and architectural and structural designing. With a California General “B” Builder Contracting License (inactive) and a building construction business utilizing AutoCAD architectural drafting, Rivet 3D architectural designing, estimating, permit procurement, bidding, expediting, purchasing, accounting, and controlling. I have overseen the scheduling, building, and supervising of workers and subcontractors to prompt and proficient completion of projects.

With my experience and training, I have earned a California Vocational Career Technical Education Teacher Credential recommendation and was commissioned in 2007 by the California Teacher Credentialing Commission CTC. This preliminary CTE credential expired in 2012. I taught Construction Technology for the Riverside County Office of Education at Desert Mirage High School in Oasis, California from 09/2007 to 02/2008. As of 2016, I have since been in the process of renewing my Career Technical Education Credential from California State University San Bernardino. I earned a recommendation from CSUSB which was good for three years and expired in 2019. Working for a living as a substitute teacher and architectural draftsman, I attended night classes at CSUSB to earn my Master’s Degree in Career Technical Education and

Leadership in the sectors of Construction Technology, and Manufacturing and Product Development, in December 2020 with a G.P.A. of 3.5. I earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Industrial Arts, (now called Industrial Technology) with an Architecture concentration, in 1978 from California State University Long Beach.

Additional Skills/Accomplishments: I am bilingual (English and Spanish as a second learned language at home and school). I am a previous owner/entrepreneur of three motor hotels, dozens of apartments, two restaurants, and Chevron & Exon/Mobile Travel Convenience Stores with related marketing and retail experience. I have used math and engineering from what I have learned in school and from on-the-job applications. I am computer literate with clerical, systems, Procore, Office, and Engineering programs and skills. I am an inactive California-licensed “General B Building Contractor. I now work as an architect designer/structural engineer and as a project manager agent and consultant in my personal enterprise, “Accurate and Fast Architectural Plans, Engineering, and Building Services.” I’ve taken on a part-time job at the Home Depot this past Summer mainly for the exercise, the little extra money, and working indoors away from the outside Coachella Valley Summer heat. I am in excellent health, have the strength to work up to 50 hours a week, and have a most positive attitude. I consider myself to be fortunate with the physical, career, and life changes that come with age. I am comfortable and even more empowered and accomplished as I am working up to 50 hours a week, and to be in business and/or teaching for the next 15 years or longer. I am an excellent teacher, coach, and motivational speaker. I have experienced the transformational vision of education myself, and I now help empower students with the discovery of their transformational vision of their valuable education.

Upon taking the mechanical and management/business exam in 06/2006 to qualify for my California General B Building Contractor License, I score 100 percent on both parts of the exam the first time taking the exam. This was from work experience. ADDITIONAL MOTIVATION

I love the action and many rewards in the technical, manufacturing, building construction industries and in Public Service in Education as a Teacher. My 25-year-old daughter, Jacqueline Laurella just graduated from medical college and now works in a hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Engaged and getting married in June. My forty-seven-year-old daughter, Jaime Laurella Rummerfield has a successful Architect/Interior Design business in Los Angeles, California, and has taught design courses at UCLA. Also, two sons, Sam Laurella, and Christopher Laurella are also college graduates and are successful in their careers. All married with children and I have 7 grandchildren. EDUCATION:

I had a 6:00 am to 9:00 am Cabinetmaking job at the House of Cabinets in Hermosa Beach before going to my college classes beginning at 10:00 am. Redondo Beach Union High School – Graduated in 1967. In every shop class I was asked by the teacher in middle school and high school to be a shop foreman. I never asked to be a shop foreman. I was out going to every student and helped the ones that needed help. My father taught me how to use the hand tools and maintain them. My father, Salvatore Emilio Laurella – 01/1913 to 11/27/2005 served his apprenticeship as a skilled woodworker in Campo Bosso, Abruzzo-Molise, Italy beginning when he was 10 years old. He taught me how to use hand tools and sharpen the bits, chisels, knives, and saws and to maintain the tools. Starting when I too was about 10 years old, I worked with him on many jobs for the next 47 years to almost when he died at 92 years old in 2005. REFERENCES:
