Experience
Dillard University / research
New Orleans, LA
I conducted research under the supervision of Dr. Michael Rowe, observing the relationship of solar radiation to the color of crocodile skin, and the effect it has on the animals’ brains. Throughout this research I was in charge of collecting the quantitative data. I observed each head under a special light fixture and recorded the internal temperature of the brain.
Mississippi College/ research
Clinton, MS
I conducted research under the supervision of Dr. Erick Bourassa studying the effects of test anxiety on cognitive factors such as attention and memory. My team and I recruited fellow student participants and had them screened through a program we created to detect test anxiety. Once all participants were screened, we took quantitative data from our program and analyzed it to determine which participants were test anxious vs which were not. Once the test anxious participants were determined, we had them complete certain tasks on screen whilst connected to an EEG to monitor their brain activity.
