■ Lead Engineer/Manager responsible for front end and detailed well planning for a drilling campaign in Northern Michigan. Provide drilling support for the APD packages for exploration and development wells.

■ Prepared drilling programs for vertical, directional, and horizontal wells, designed the well, selected BHA’s, optimized and managed well time, tracked costs, and would troubleshoot any issues during operations.

FMO&G / PXP – Houston Senior Drilling Engineer

August 2010 – February 2017

■ Lead Engineer responsible for front end and detailed well planning for a drillship drilling campaign in the Deepwater Gulf of Mexico. Provide drilling support for the EP submittal as well as generating and submitting APD packages for development wells.

■ Successfully delivered the MC 84 SS006 King D-9 well with no incident, accident or spill, 5 days under AFE w/ 8% NPT, which led to a cost savings of $12MM. The well had a difficult directional plan building to 63 throughout the well, drilling through both depleted and normally pressurized zones.

■ Successfully delivered the MC 127 SS003 Horn Mountain Deep well with no incident, accident or spill. This was an exploration well that lead to a discovery with roaring commercial success for the company, leading to further development of the sand through future wells.

■ Onsite Rig Drilling Engineer on the Transocean Deepwater Champion and the Noble Tom Madden in the Gulf of Mexico. Help with the daily task on the rig, making sure to optimize and manage rig time, tracked costs and logistics, and troubleshoot any issues during operations in order to keep everything headed in the right direction. Perform real time torque & drag, buckling, hydraulics, jar analysis, drill/landing string design, cement calculations, tallies, etc.

■ Lead Drilling Engineer for 1 to 3 rigs horizontally drilling in Karnes and Dewitt County in Eagle Ford Shale. Prepared drilling programs for horizontal wells, designed the well, selected BHA’s, optimized and managed well time, tracked costs, and would troubleshoot any issues during operations.

■ Lead Drilling Engineer for 1 to 3 rigs horizontally drilling in Hemphill and Wheeler County in the Granite Wash, Atoka, Lansing, Kansas City, and Cleveland Formations. Prepared drilling programs for horizontal wells, designed the well, selected BHA’s, optimized and managed well time, tracked costs, and would troubleshoot any issues during operations.

■ Lowered drilling days in the Granite Wash from 60 days to 40 days, which led to cost savings of $1MM per well. Lowered drilling days in the Eagle Ford from 20 days to 10 days with and average savings of $2MM per well. Oversaw the entire project of drilling the Cleveland Formation the wells came in 20 days under AFE, leading to saving $1.5MM per well.

■ Lead Engineer for re-entering wells and drilling Injectors and Producers in Inglewood California. Prepared drilling programs, designed the well, selected BHA’s, optimized and managed well time, tracked costs, and would troubleshoot any issues during operations. Pulled well files for existing wells and decided what work was needed in order to re-enter wells. Prepared all supplementary programs for the 2013 drilling program. Enervest, Ltd. Drilling Engineer

■ Drilling Engineer for following fields: East Texas, West Texas, Southeast New Mexico, and Arkoma. Prepared drilling programs for wells, designed the well, selected BHA’s, optimized and managed well time, tracked costs, and would troubleshoot any issues during operations.

■ Lead Drilling Engineer for the West Loco Hills Project, San Andres Formation. Drilled 24 wells, 8 producers and 16 injectors. Came up with well programs, AFE’s, staffed field employees, and oversaw building of well locations. The 24 wells all came under AFE by 15%. Planning the drilling of 26 more wells, 12 producers and 14 injectors due to savings in cost and time.

■ Lead Drilling Engineer for the Fort Chadbourne Field, Odom Lime. Planning the drilling of 10 wells starting in June 2010. Prepared drilling programs, AFE’s, staffing for field office, and building well location. Jones Energy, Ltd. Drilling/Completion/Production Engineer July 2008 – April 2009

■ Lead Drilling Engineer for 1-2 rigs in the Cleveland, Granite Wash, Ringling, and the Atoka formation. Prepared drilling programs for horizontal wells, designed the well, selected BHA’s, optimized and managed well time, tracked costs, and would troubleshoot any issues during operations.

■ Proposed the idea of a Technical Limit (Best of the Best) to Jones, Ltd. and implemented it on the Granite Wash and Cleveland wells. This process is now an ongoing project, which will lead to a cost savings on future wells.

■ In charge of Procurement for the Granite Wash wells, open hole packer assemblies, and completions. Reduced the cost for the Granite Wash wells from $5.1MM down to $3.0MM.

■ Designed the completion for the Cleveland, Granite Wash, Atoka, and Ringling formations 3

■ Conducted Multilateral Study for the Granite Wash Formation.

■ Worked with gathering companies to lower line pressures down. Was able to identify areas where the gathering companies could put compression to allow for more gas to be sold.

■ Lead Engineer for the Ringling Project. Studied existing wellbores for re-entry possibilities, came up with the well work that was needed to enter, designed the wellbore, came up with a mud and bit program by studying offset data, and estimated the well cost.

BP Drilling/Production Engineer

May 2005 – July 2008

■ Lead Engineer for all completion and commingling work for 2007 – 2008 in the Hugoton Asset. Follow up well performance, track costs and ensure the team objectives are met. Identify well work opportunity by evaluating production losses which lead to an increase production.

■ Onsite company man for well recompletions, commingling work, rod pump installations and repair, acid stimulation, casing repair, and QA QC checks.

■ Lead Drilling Engineer for 1 rig in the Wamsutter Wyoming Field. Prepared drilling programs for drilling vertical gas wells, performed well design, selected BHA, and managed time and cost estimating.

■ Onsite Rig Drilling Engineer on Nabors 413 and shadowing the Wells Site Leader. Help with the daily task on the rig, perform cement calculations, tallies, mud checks, optimized and managed rig time, and troubleshoot any issues during operation.
