I, Sayed Mohammad Nurul Alam have two Master degrees: one in Business Administration from Maastricht School of Management, Netherlands; the second one -in Management alongwith completion of professional Chartered Accountancy course from Bangladesh and around twenty-three years of solid, in-depth Finance, Program, HR and other Program Support Services strategic, management and operational experience in home and abroad.

In my most recent position, I have been working as Head of Operations with TWB (Translators Without Borders) and worked as Country Representative (Interim) with Solidar Suisse, Bangladesh, Deputy Country Director with International Medical Corps based in Afghanistan and acting CD as well. I worked with OXFAM in Liberia and headed the Directorate of Finance & Systems and prior to that I worked as Deputy Director-Administration (covers Finance & Accounting, Procurement, IT, Internal Control &Internal Administration) and Acting Director of Admin (covers External Relations, HR and Contracts and Portfolio), Overall Controlling and Internal Control aspects of GIZ Office Dhaka and assigned to perform internal controls of GIZ Office India where, I demonstrated the ability to support and maintain numerous operational management projects and provided proper strategic direction. I worked closely with CD and provided guidance and support to run the organization smoothly.
Earlier, I worked with Nonviolent Peaceforce as Finance Director based in Brussels, Belgium. Beforehand, I worked with Oxfam GB as Program Support Manager/Assistant Country Director-Program Support based in Dhaka and Interim CD as well. I also worked with Oxfam GB-South Asia Regional Centre as Regional Finance Expert/Accountant and played role as Finance and Admin Manager based in Afghanistan, Pakistan, SriLanka and few other countries. I started my career with corporate sector after few short-term research and consultancy assignments and then moved to Development Sector in ActionAid Bangladesh. I played role there as Head of Finance & Admin.
