EMPLOYMENT OBJECTIVE

Seeking Process Technician position to apply technical expertise towards the daily and strategic goals of the company.

EXPERIENCE

2010 – 2023 Assigned to the following projects at the Petrojam Refinery:

• Technical Design Review Committee in which all company major projects

(starting 2021) were reviewed in order to optimize overall product delivery and minimize losses due to rework or downtime.

• Boiler Procurement and Installation Project in which my experience in boiler operation was used to ensure delivery and installation in keeping with the company’s expectations.

• Plant Operating Manual Review in which, as editor, the manual was fully updated as per requirement by the company’s insurance.

• Formulation of Refinery Unit Operating Section Manuals which is used by refinery operators and process engineers in training and daily operations.

• Writing and Reviewing SOPs and SSEPs (for new installations and preexisting systems) as required by the company’s insurance and to maximize safety and operational efficiency.

• Formulating the Eight (8) “Progression Program Description” Documents.

• DCS Upgrade Project (Systems and Hardware) where my experience was used at ABB to optimize the design and delivery of the 800XA system to Petrojam.

• Conduct Training and Examination in:

o DCS Operator Training to certify refinery operators to safely operate the process plant from the console while optimizing production. o Process Fundamentals Training and Introduction to Piping and Instrumentation Drawing and Process Flow Diagrams Formulation and Interpretation to introduce newly recruited refinery operators to the refinery operations and in so doing prepare them for further plant exposure.

• Formulation of the Petrojam Product Testing and Specification Handbook to guide refinery operators towards meeting required products specifications to reduce product giveaway and operational inefficiency.

• Drafting of the Process Unit, Utilities, Industrial Loading Rack and Offsite Systems P&ID Review, Process Unit Isometric Inspection Drawing Update, and 3D Solids Modeling of the Refinery and Loading Rack Projects and in so doing increased the company’s asst management and adherence to refinery operating standards. 2008 – 2010 Assigned to the Petrojam Refinery Upgrade Project in which my operational experience was used in the developing the Front-End Engineering Design packages with SNC Lavalin. 1996 – 2007 Promotions; certified to operate crude distillation unit (CDU), steam generation and boiler feed water treatment systems, vacuum distillation unit (VDU), Oil Movement and Storage (OM&S) facilities, operate API separator and firewater systems, naphtha hydrotreater (NHT), kerosene hydrotreater (KHT), diesel hydrotreater (DHT), fuel gas and flare system and oil mist generator, light-ends system, instrument air system, cooling water system and reverse osmosis unit, and ABB Process Portal 2.0 DCS control room, semi-regeneration reformer system, refinery offsite facilities (asphalt and LPG receival storage and transfer, mooring facility operations, emulsion asphalt unit, sludge oil (VHS) unit and oil recovery systems).
