On the 14s July 1990 enlisted in the Sri Lanka Anny as an Officer Cadet of the Regular Officer Cadet Intake 34. After completing 2 years of Military training at The Sri Lanka Military Academy

(SLMA) Commissioned as a 2nd lieutenant on 06th June 1992. Platoon Commander L992 - 1996

Served in 4tr Baualion Sri Lanka Light Infantry and 10ft Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry at the operational areas in the North Battle Area and participated all major Operations conducted in North. Officer Commanding 1996- 2000

Participated as a front line commander in all major operations conducted in the North and East mainly Operation "LEEP FORWARD' captured Jaffna town, operation "RIVIRESA" captured Jaffna peninsula. Operation "SATH JAYA" captured Killinochchi, Operation of Pooneryn liberated, Operation "JAYASIKURU" to capture along,A'9 Road up to Elephant pass, Operation "RANACTOSE" to capture Mannar and madhu church. All those war victories are the historical records of the motherland.

Officer Instructor - Sri Lanka Military Academy (SLMA) 2000 -2003 Appointed as an Officer Instructor of the prestigious military establishment of Sri Lanka Military Academy (SLMA) at Diyathalawa. Performed as an acting commanding officer during the period of three months owing to absence of commanding officer in the Battle. Sustained critical injuries in Puthukudiiruppu on 24th March 2008 while actively commanding the battle of last War (Humanitarian operation) in Sri Lanka.
