Responsibilities: Create and maintain a monthly graphic, printing and embroidery calendar for clients: T&C Surf Hawaii, Hawaiian Island Creations, Maui Clothing Company, DeJavu Kauai. Work with screen printer to develop new print techniques to bring to clients. Create monthly graphics, embroidery and show current trends. Work closely with clients on negotiating pricing. Communicate with printers and clients on color ways and sizing of art. Execute all sample and changes from printing to graphics.

OCEAN CURRENT

Marketing Director 2015 - 2019

Responsibilities: Manage photo shoots for seasonal needs (trade show images and video loops, look-books, Instagram account, Ocean Current commercial, and private label brands). Oversee trade shows (booth design, assembly/teardown, design promotional giveaways, and branding). Create and layout ads for Surfer Magazine and Free Surf HI. Manage global surf team and contracts. Design and produce instore marketing/advertising and update website as needed.

MORNING SUN SHIRT CO. – Garden Grove, CA

Creative Director 2003 - 2015

Responsibilities: Manage Art Department, provide graphic direction to team, develop and test new printing techniques, design graphics and complete color ways for brands. Manage design development and R&D calendar. Worked with t-shirt suppliers to develop new bodies to fulfill needs of print clients. Network and bring in new major customers: Mossimo, Budweiser, Jack Daniels, K-Swiss, Town & Country Hawaii, Jimmy Buffet. Hawaii Island Creations. Design “Tatt-ti” collections of Polynesian tattoo art and logos for Walmart Hawaii.

CROSSFIT

Freelance Designer: crossfitstore.com 2007 - 2009

The immense success of this project led to a worldwide partnership between CrossFit and Reebok Inc.

Responsibilities: Design monthly graphic collections for CrossFit Men, Women, Kids, and Baby. Oversee sampling and production. Present Marketing Director with conceptual direction for collections. Work with corporate office on special edition graphic tees and cut-and-sew garments for holidays, trademarked workouts, and the CrossFit Games.

TRENDS INC – Hialeah Gardens, FL

Designer 2000 - 2003

Responsibilities: Assist Mossimo Giannuli in international trend research and create design themes for seasonal collections, to include sportswear, swimwear, sleepwear, shoes, hats, bags, and accessories. Participate in Brand Meetings. Work with Marketing Department to bridge with apparel. Manage printing sampling and production. Work with Design Department to review and approve product for sign-off.

OCEAN PACIFIC - Irvine, CA

Creative Director: Op Juniors 1998 - 2000

Responsibilities: research and develop seasonal catalogs of design trends and forecasts for worldwide licensees (color stories, prints, graphics, fabrics and product direction). Coordinate Op Corporate design and merchandising development and create design for all seasons. Work with Licensee Design Directors on corporate product approval of all styles and graphics for Op Juniors, Girls, Accessories, and International Licensee.

FREELANCE ARTIST – Huntington Beach, CA 1987 - 1998 Responsibilities: Work with surf and street brands to develop graphic collections (Op, HIC Hawaii, Counter Culture, Grind Clothing, T&C Surf Hawaii, Billabong). Oversee sample process and approve for production. Design and build trade show booths, booth logos, and point of purchase signs.
