Profile

Retired Project Manager and Engineer experienced in end-to-end project management. My experience has been exclusively at manufacturing sites managing multiple projects simultaneously. Scope of work ranged from the development of basic data through construction, and startup. My background also includes extensive experience in Process Hazards Evaluations

(including dusts), and Process Safety Management. I am looking for a contract/Part time position in a small engineering or manufacturing firm in the development/refinement of capital project program and or mentoring younger engineers on capital project management. Skills and Experience

• Proficient in Contracts evaluations and field administration.

• Proficient in detailed capital projects scheduling using MS Project.

• Proficient in Cost control and budgeting of portfolio of Capital projects (<$10MM)

• Proficient in reading Architectural, Civil drawings, Process diagrams.

• Familiar with Electrical Equipment (MCC, Variable frequency drives), and PLC equipment.

• Proficient in understanding of Process Safety Management and implementation.

• Proficient in Process hazards analysis including the development of reports e.g., consequence analysis for fire/explosion

• Understanding and application of ASME, ANSI and other codes in specifications for equipment, instrumentation, and controls.

• Proficient with Microsoft Suite, including MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word.

• Bilingual- fluent in Spanish

Responsibilities and Accomplishments (DuPont, Circleville) Basic data development, Front End Loading, detailed engineering and project management of major capital projects using full-service design contractor. This includes design, cost estimate, scheduling, contracting, and collaborating with required operating, technical and construction resources through commissioning and startup. 2004- 2021. Key accomplishments below:

• Project engineer assisting Project Manager on all aspects of design and construction on

$250M film line in Circleville OH.

• Lead Project engineer on a fast track $17M electronics facility in Korea.

• Project Manager on a $13M polymerization facility in Korea.

• Lead Project engineer on $1.5M Kapton® fast track film commercialization project.

• Project Manager on $2.5M fast track project solids handling facility in Manatí, Puerto Rico.

• Site Engineering leader, Circleville, Ohio. Responsible for overseeing a $8-$10M annual budget.

• Circleville Site Process Hazards leader (2008-2011 ad-hoc assignment)- ensuring site Process Hazards Analysis met best practices and representing the site on third party audits. Professional Experience

Owner’s role in major capital projects: including scope, estimate, design, cost control and installation for Capital projects $1M- $250M at multiple DuPont sites (Korea, Puerto Rico, West Virginia, New York, Ohio).

Circleville Site Engineering Leader, 2009- 2012, Circleville. Management of Capital resources, execution of Project strategy and budgets for the Circleville site

($8-$10M - four businesses)

Project Engineer, 2000 – 2009, Vespel®, Circleville. Developed scope, design, procurement, cost control and installation of projects $1-$10M. Process Engineer/Technical Support Vespel®, 1996 – 2000, Circleville. Implementation of initial PSM program for the division. First Line supervisor 1992 – 1996, Mylar®, Circleville. Responsible for 5 continuous polymerization lines, scheduled personnel, and managed production needs.

Quality Control Engineer, 1989 – 1992, Vespel®, Circleville. Developed the first statistical based QA program for Vespel® business at Circleville, including use of Process Control Charting for critical parameters.
