1.Cell Processing Technologist II (GMP) at Baylor College of Medicine/ Texas Medical Center, Houston, TX (Dec 2021- current)

Perform manufacturing and cryopreservation of clinical cell therapy drug products in the Center for Cell and Gene Therapy GMP facility to be used for patient infusions.

Process patient blood and donor apheresis material, isolate peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs), and perform cell depletion and selection procedures using CliniMACS Plus, to initiate T-cell manufacturing for multiple clinical and research protocols.

Manufacturing of Genetically-Modified Activated T Cells (ATCs)

Manufacturing of Natural Killer T-Cells (NKT Cells) products

Produce Virus specific T cell products in GMP manufacturing protocols including procedures such as: Transduction of Antigen-Specific T cells with Retroviral vectors, Generation, Expansion, and Pepmix-Pulsing of autologous activated T cells for use as T-APC, maintenance and expansion of Gene-modified K562cs, generation of Retrovirus Transduced activated T cells, Cryopreservation of expanded lymphocytes for patient administration. Produce MT-401 multi-tumor-associated antigen-specific T cell products to support CAGT contract manufacturing for external sponsor-lead study, requiring high-level research techniques and technical skills and expertise.

Train less experienced GMP technologists on GMP policies, special protocol procedures, equipment use, and aseptic techniques.

Record data in worksheets and generate reports for patient files and QA/QC program.

Assure that activities are in compliance with regulatory requirements (cGMP, cGLP, cGDP) and follow SOPs and specific protocol directions from the principal investigator for all manufacturing procedures.

Conduct process validations and equipment qualifications such as CRF and Nuclear counter (NC-200) for new procedures and new equipment respectively to ensure specifications and requirements for the intended purposes are met, in order for successful implementation into the GMP facility and allowing for use in patient manufacturing.

Analyze MT-401 patient data from entire manufacturing process and report summary of results to principal investigator to help inform decision making for future patient manufacturing.

Preparation of Infusions for patient bedside administration at affiliated hospital clinical sites such asTCH (Texas Children’s hospital) and HMH(Houston Methodist Hospital)

Review GMP equipment forms before submitted to QA.

Co-ordenate to receive and ship samples outside GMP companies such as Cryogene lab.
