Cahaba River Society –
August 2023 - Conservation Crew/Stewardship Intern.
Restoring native habitat in the Cahaba River watershed. Primary duties include removing invasive plant species from the Cahaba River and its tributaries, restoring streambank and riparian areas with native plants.
Experienced with and knowledge of field identification of Southeastern flora and fauna, project planning, partnership building, assisted in data entry and analysis of GIS software, and river guiding.
Contributed to invasive and native plant fact sheets, and vegetation monitoring and collection.

Auburn University Forest and Fire Ecology Lab –
Summer 2023 – Field/Lab Research Technician.
Conduct research on forest ecosystems and fire behavior, including fire spread modeling and fire risk assessments.
Vegetation sampling, measuring plant traits, plant identification, data collection, and sample processing in the lab.
Field-based experimental manipulations to test hypotheses about how individual tree species traits influence forest function.

Auburn University Civil & Environmental Engineering Storm Water Research –
Spring 2023 – Research Assistant.
Primary responsibility was to work with faculty members on current research projects to support sponsor stated deliverables.
Duties include extracting data, processing data, conducting field experiments, and conducting data analysis.
Demonstrate projects to environmental regulators, designers, contractors, and inspectors in proper design, installation, maintenance, and inspection practices.
Demonstration projects included: channel lining, hydro mulching, floating turbidity barriers, flocculants, sediment basins, sediment basin outlets, silt fence installation practices, and stockpile management.
