● Launched the largest industry data survey and analysis in Nitro fertilizers for they faced two problems: policy restrictions and consumers not buying. I was the data analytics manager of the project. Influenced the government: Obtained important business data through actual visits to 10 provinces, 12 crops, and 168 customers in 150 days. Generated the survey sample distribution chart using Excel to directly show the survey results in the value of Nitro fertilizers. The government changed to encourage the category while keeping on negative growth of whole fertilizers. Promoted to consumers: Spread the fertilizer business analytics videos and articles through the WeChat official account, with 100,000+ users. which won 2 awards: Excellence Award and the second prize. The big farmers and companies made the brand the first choice due to economic investment for expensive but effective.

● Influence managers’ decisions: Processed the Business Analytics and Brand Research before China Chemical Rubber Corporation acquired Pirelli, which was the biggest acquisition case of $7.86 billion in the Tire Industry. Integrated the data sent by the internal system and the professional data queried by the app and related websites.

● Organized the online activity “Cloud Partner”, and solved problems of pineapple sales through accurate data promotion. Used Python script to edit the data format and extract the key information for future use. Obtained 2 honorary awards in person: Advanced Individual and Advanced Worker.

A Loan Analysis(Ranked No.4 in Business Analytics Competition 2022) Mar 2022 - Apr 2022

● Supported vector machines algorithm on the given 3 years of loan datasets for a Bank provided to predict whether the applicant for the company would default or not default.

● Got 127,069 overdue samples, occupying 14.47% of all.

● Analyzed the relationship between numerical variables and target variables, the correlation coefficients between Target and other numeric variables, and found that the FICO score has a high negative correlation with age and a positive correlation with the loan interest rate.

● Created different prediction models by using Random Forest, and logistic regression. Optimized the model and got a 0.8376 ROC score for Random Forest and 0.8165 for Logistic Regression.

An accounting consulting company employee termination analysis May 2022 - Jun 2022

● Observed 857 employees were hired, and 822 employees have been terminated in the past 6 years of internal data.

● Using external data to get insight: Ranked in the middle of industry size and income, NO.1 in the public opinion ranking, but the salary was at the lowest level, the employee compensation system has been difficult to match the development of our company.

● Built a machine learning model to predict the probability of termination of an employee with an accuracy of 77%.

A Restaurant Recommendation System with Yelp Reviews Dataset Apr 2022 - May 2022

● Cleaned and merged Quebec Yelp Reviews Dataset and Quebec Business Dataset into 25464 records.

● Implemented the prediction model by using SVD-based collaborative filtering and latent factor Cosine similarity. Run a k-fold cross-validated latent factor selection, and produced the latent dimension vs. MSE plot.

● Built a system that can pick 2 random restaurants and look at the 5 most similar ones to each, 10 in total.
