Greetings,
My name is Stephen (Steve) Williams. I am a retired Federal Agent seeking to begin a new career in the Galveston area.
I am a native Texan having been born in Laredo, and raised in the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) area.
In March 2020, I retired from Federal service after thirty-four (34) years of service to include: twelve (12) years as a United States Border Patrol Agent, and twenty-two (22) years as a Special Agent with the United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) / Homeland Security Investigations (HSI). I am also fluent in Spanish, and have served as a translator in State court.
During my career, I worked in various locations to include; Calexico and El Centro, California, Laredo, Texas, Memphis, Tennessee, Oklahoma City and Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Dallas.

• Attended the University of Texas at Arlington, and North Texas State University at Denton (1983-1987).
• Graduated with a class standing of 6th in the 231st session of the U. S. Border Patrol (USBP) Academy, Glynco, Georgia, March 1988. (Certified Spanish Speaker). HSI/ICE Special Agent (2003-2019)
-Primary duties have been the investigation and criminal prosecution of violations of Title 8 USC 1324, and 1326, as well as, violations of Titles 18, 19, and 21. -Detailed to FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force/JTTF Squad (2005-2006); assisted the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), The Department of State ( DOS), Diplomatic Security Service (DSS), and various State and local law enforcement in the location, investigation, and apprehension of Special Interest Aliens suspected of terrorism, as well as, the cultivation and recruitment of confidential sources.
-Detailed to Oklahoma City and Tulsa Gang Units (2002-2005 / 2006-2009); assisted the aforementioned specialized gang units in the location, and apprehension of gang members.
Supervisory Sector Canine Instructor / Laredo Sector Border Patrol (1996-2003)
-Supervise, instruct, and evaluate the performance of thirty-three (33) canine teams; relating to the detection of narcotics and concealed persons. Direct training operations, perform field safety inspections, and ensure that all training procedures are correctly implemented and carried out by canine handlers in the field.
Senior Patrol Agent/Border Patrol Agent / Laredo and El Centro Sector Border Patrol (1988-1996).
Primary duties as a Senior Border Patrol Agent/Border Patrol Agent had been the active enforcement of the Immigration and Naturalization laws (INS) of the United States; including but not limited to line-watch, checkpoint, plain clothes city patrol, train-check, airport check and special tactical operations. Plan, direct and coordinate the apprehension of illegal aliens and narcotic smugglers by utilizing various Border Patrol methods.
