Thank you for considering me for your remote job opening and for reviewing my credentials. Before you assume that I may be overqualified for your open position, please understand that I have recently made a career change. While I had an extremely rewarding career as Human Resources leader for 30+ years for a fast-growing logistics company, it was a very demanding career. I oversaw more than 20 locations which involved working 60-80 hours a week, with up to 50% travel. After a recent acquisition (the 3rd in the last 10 years), the acquiring company was not a good culture match, and so I resigned following a successful integration, and took a couple of months off. During this time off, I have re-evaluated my career goals. I truly want to work for an organization where I can make a positive impact on a company that can utilize my high energy, results-driven approach.

Why would you want to consider me? I am the hardest working person I know. In fact, I am constantly told that by bosses and co-workers. Even my husband said that over these last couple of months, instead of me relaxing, I have made our home my “work”. The gardens are the best they have ever looked, and the inside of our home is more organized than any house really should be. I am a hands-on, get it done kind of person. Even when my title grew to Vice President, I knew how to do every job of my team members, and I never hesitated to jump in, in any capacity, as needed. I can very nimbly move between being strategic and task oriented, to best suit the situation or organization. I have amazing references from the leaders I have reported to, as well as those employees who have previously reported to me directly.

I am looking for a remote position that will utilize my skills as an effective communicator, team-builder, and innovative problem solver.
