My one true passion is nursing. I have a desire to continue to learn every day and continue my advancement in my field. I am thankful daily for the lives I am able to touch and it is my goal to at minimum, say a kind word or smile, and somehow improve each situation at least for that moment. I am empathetic and compassionate, and continue to develop and mature over time. My experiences I have had during my career have been extensive, from birth to death, and nearly every situation in between. I am a dedicated employee, and will work hard to represent and reach or exceed the goals set forth for me.

Registered Nurse
Missouri Cancer Associates - Columbia, MO
April 2020 to December 2021
I work as a Collaborative Nurse for one of the busiest physicians in our office. We triage patient calls, send prescriptions when appropriate- help facilitate care, set up appointments for treatments and studies. Communication with physicians, peers, patients, and families lead to an incredibly busy day. Patients are the center of our care. We speak to them regularly to calm fears and manage concerns. This was a patient care position as well as care coordination.
• Triaged patients
• Carried out the care plan and did care planning in coordination with the patient and physician
• Monitored and documented patient's vitals
Registered Nurse
Boone Hospital Center - Columbia, MO
September 2014 to August 2021
My last position held was working in the Interventional Radiology Department. It is a very challenging and interesting department. It is ever changing, and I learned new things every day. I was previously a full time float nurse, and worked in areas from ER, and ICU, Stepdown, and all of the floors. I was on several committees, Quality Improvement, Management team, and several others. They enabled me to learn about other departments and help to make changes and advocate for, not only our patients but our staff as well. Quality assurance was a large part of those committee memberships and projects. Staffing Agency

Registered Nurse
St Marys Hospital - Jefferson City, MO
December 2004 to May 2013
The busiest ER in Mid-Missouri area, and an accredited chest pain center. Learned a lot here. Was out for maternity leave (extended due to bed rest) - I worked weekend program, my position was filled when my leave was over. Was offered a position in outpatient, but did not like it so I resigned. I returned to work in the ICU, but low census call offs led me back to full time work with Grace Staffing.

South Callaway School - Mokane, MO

I was the nurse of the South Callaway School District. I do grades K-12 with an LPN that I supervised. The job required me to be self motivated, and be able to make decisions, organize care and records for hundreds of children. I implemented a dental program as well as organized a scoliosis screening for multiple age groups. I made it a priority to be an advocate for my students and support families and staff.
