Under the supervision of the Pressroom Supervisor, I received on-the-job-training, in which I learned how to set ink, water level, mixed ink colors, made pasters, places plates all around press. And learned how to operated a multicolor web press. Set-ups and breakdowns for each run. ASSISTANT FOREMAN = MAILROOM
While in the package center of the TRENTON TIMES, I assigned 20 individuals to designated work areas. Set-up the inserters and move stackers to prepare for the evening reprints and dailies for the night At the end of the shift, I prepared the production/average sheets for the night. BREAKDOWN AND SET-UP for morning crews.
NEWSPAPER INSERTER = PART-TIMER
Under the supervision of the MAILROOM SUPERVISION I was train to runs machines in the mailroom. Iwas a fast learner, ran 72 pocket inserters machines. Fixed the SIGNORE strapping machine when needed, rolled, stack down newspaper on skids, unload trucks. Forklift driver, ran CHESHIRE labeling, HAND FULFILLMENT, INSERTING, METERING.Rolled and mailed the daily newspaper to customers throughout the United States.
