*Operating of floating docks for docking and undocking of ship for ship repair.

*Supervises the day to day activities of assigned floating docks.

*Gives technical advice to dock mechanics and dock electricians as and when required.

*To ensure that all docks equipments required for the docking and undocking operations ready for functions.

*Responsible for housing of the docks in safe conditions.

*Performs the operation of the docks according to the instructions from the dock master.

*Responsible for safety working condition of all workers under direct control.

*Report to the dock master daily regarding all technical problems for taking decisions.

*Follow and records control instruments status.

*Familliar with general rules for lifting and immersing and emergency of the docks.

*Trains the other assigned new staff under the dock master,supervisor and dept.head
