I am proficient with ordering medication, supplies, and talking to insurance companies. Dealing with insurance was the best part. I felt like I was doing more for the patient when a medication received a denial or prior authorization. The Rx Connect system was new to me; within a few months it was second nature. My responsibilities I were to look through patient’s files and send the prescriptions to the next queue so that the technician could call and confirm with the office.

I would also, look through the daily calls to doctor’s offices to confirm a prescription that was the patient’s profile before filling it. The handwriting could be hard to read and I contacted the doctor’s nurse confirm the information and that I would correct it in the system and then send it to be filled.
