I wish to describe how life is in this apartment they’ve given us. The doorways much too small and I have to try to squeeze through in my manual wheelchair without scraping the walls. I have to go through this every time I go through a doorway it makes me not ever want to leave my room . in the bathroom there’s only room for my walker and I can’t walk every time I shower, brush my teeth use the bathroom take my life into my hands and it is very stressful. Again, it makes me want to just stay in my room, but I can’t .
Whenever I go to kitchen, I am forced to get out of my chair at least four times to get in the cabinets. It is very stressful and again it makes me just want to stay in my room. My room is very depressing because it is dark without much to do with the sunlight. it is very physically hard. Every time I get out of my chair, and I have to get out of my chair at least four times in the kitchen. This is done while I constantly try not to scrape the walls.
I cannot use my mobile wheelchair because it is too large and scrapes the walls no matter how hard I try. Using my manual wheelchair is hard enough without constantly squeezing through doorways and trying not to scrape the walls.
It means that I am constantly depressed because I don’t know if I’ll continue to be successful. Hope and pray Yahweh keeps me sane.
