Ability Summary:
As a Hygiene Coordinator: answer telephone calls to company standard, route calls to the appropriate department. Create, reschedule, cancel, and confirm appointments. Logistically manage the hygiene schedule for seven hygienists and four doctors daily. Process insurance information to ensure we are in network with patients’ providers. Monitor hygiene schedule and patient flow. Responsible for daily and monthly scheduled production reports, daily production codes to ensure all hygienists and doctors receive credit for services rendered. Update the master hygiene schedule on a shared drive. Use and monitor third party programs for communications. Create and update medical records. Answer patients’ questions regarding their treatment. Perform basic accounting skills, help with patients’ ledgers. Email new patients an outline of our standard of care and what to expect for their first-time visit. Print routers for patients’ appointments. Input online patient forms into their medical charts. Use email and texting to communicate effectively with patients when unable to reach by phone. Manage any issues that arise on the schedule. Obtain x-rays from other dental offices and place them into Dexis. Return all voice mails by the end of the day. Send broken appointment letters. Add missed fees to patient ledger. Opened and closed hygiene columns and set hygiene templates for new hygienists. Oversee and coordinate the overall recare department.
Treatment Coordinator: conduct interviews to understand the patient’s oral health history, concerns, and objectives. Explain the treatment plan, address patient concerns, and answer any questions. Assist the patient in prioritizing the treatment and establish a plan for scheduling and payment. Build trust and understand the patient’s objectives. Understand the practice’s policy on working with dental benefit plans and be prepared to educate patients on their dental benefits. Conduct financial consultations with all new patients and existing patients when new treatment plans were presented. Perform general office duties and other duties as required.
Patient Representative Specialist: Processed all incoming/outgoing patients, I used a strong working knowledge of the Optometry industry to address patient inquiries, solve problems and promote services and products offered at the Office. Other duties included pretesting, and contact lens support based upon Office volume. Ensure customers’ expectations were exceeded by directing and communicating patient needs effectively and efficiently. Effectively answer the telephone, schedule patient appointments to company standards by utilizing resource scheduling (by third ring, no call is to be on hold longer than 60 seconds). Transcribe message for return calls (including home and daytime phone number).
