03/2022-Present HELP ROADS Director of Children’s Services/SIFI Certified Brooklyn, NY
Manage the overall children’s counseling program. Ensure staff coverage. Create staff monthly schedule, assign cases to all program clinicians, coordinate staff conferences and trainings to enhance staff development, hire and train new staff, conduct monthly statistical reports for the program and submit report to funder. I also carry a small caseload of clients who are considered high-risk. Complete screenings, children’s assessments, clinical assessments, and complete forms necessary to the treatment being used. Provide weekly counseling to children, adolescents and adults who experienced/witnessed domestic violence. I use a variety of theoretical perspectives such as Behavioral Modification Approach, TF-CBT, motivational interviewing, and client center practice etc. Once we identify client’s needs cannot be met at the agency, I would coordinate and collaborate with other agencies that can provide the needed services. I assist families on making safety planning and empower them to make the changes needed to live in an environment free of violence. I assist with Brooke Jackman ( a reading program ) coordination, which includes recruiting clients and assisting with the overall coordination. I also supervise MSW students from diverse graduate schools.
