Key Responsibilities

Engage with organizational stakeholders to assess business needs and gather requirements (functional and non-functional) for defining and building future state data warehouse architecture that meets business requirements.

Identify and document inefficiencies, functionality gaps, and data discrepancies/quality issues related to the current data reporting environment; and capture/augment architecture artifacts and technical specifications for current state data reporting solutions.

Work closely with Product Owner, Project Manager, Release manager, Development, Quality, Testing and UAT teams to provide them with the required support.

Design a target data analytics architecture that satisfies the organization’s information needs; identify and evaluate available solution options and associated trade-offs; and recommend technology solutions to achieve future state architecture while ensuring long-term technical viability of new solutions.

Key role to design Conceptual Data Model, Logical Data Model and Physical Data Model along with proper metadata repository with cardinality, knows as Information Architecture document or metadata repository.

Conduct or participate in design sessions with key technical team members and business owners to understand business opportunities and design a robust data integration strategy with scalable data pipeline and modern ETL (extract, transform, load) solutions for loading the data warehouse.

Lead the development and implementation of normalized and dimensional data models (logical and physical) to support reporting and analytics, data warehouse, data marts and data stores including the ETL used to populate those databases.

Plan, design and implement capacity and resource management measures for ensuring data warehouse availability, scalability and redundancy with policies and procedures for data management, performance, and disaster recovery.

Work with engineering, security, risk, compliance, and legal teams to establish solutions/patterns and governance guidelines.

Provide on-going maintenance to configuration models as product and/or business rules change over time.

Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving and fast-paced agile development environment.

Develop and advocate data management policies, standards, practices, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent data management operations.

Conduct current state assessment and map opportunities with organizational goals to target state architecture and roadmap.

Helping team with POC (Proof of Concept) for work and product evaluation.

Design end-to-end data warehousing / reporting solutions using components like databases, ETL tools and reporting frameworks using Kimball/Inmon/Data Lake/Hybrid.

Creating and utilizing the reusable data objects defined under Data governance model along with metadata dictionary for future reference.

Organization level roadmap for moving legacy application/system to AWS cloud environment for high availability and low maintenance.

Provide cost efficient model to reduce dollar amount on AWS and other services by utilizing best practices sync with industry recommendation for business need.

Environment setup on AWS console for Database PostgreSQL DB and then creating user and roles with security policies.

Creating CDM Canonical Data Model also known as Common Data Model for seamless API integration. It helps organization spending less time on the changes and deliver more values.
